X Podcast: Tim Sheridan @ Junk Club

Tim Sheridan and King Roc's new track "The ghosts that live in her" is out Monday 23rd, with a rave review in IDJ, Sebo K calling it "unique" and URB magazine US saying "I could see there was something sinister about this from the start". So to celebrate, here's a recent and extremely rare mix of Tim DJing, the first publically released (seriously) since his legendary Nastydirtysexmusic CD of several years ago...

X Podcast: Arnaud Rebotini on French Radio

As benefits the man who co-founded Parisian dancefloor terrorists Blackstrobe with the express intention of "creating electronic music that scares people," Arnaud Rebotini's new album Music Components is a huge "screw you!" to the parlous state of electronic music today.

It's both an instinctual and a highly formal approach. And the same applies to the final album - it's noisy, human, both aggressive and reflective. As Rebotini says, "I wanted to use instruments which have a history, a life. I wanted to rediscover the pleasure of playing without laptops, without external sequencers." And so he bunkered down in his studio to spend five days building the set for his amazing live show, and jamming out an album in the process.

The first EP of this experiment, MUSIC COMPONENTS EP, is now out. And here's a minimix Rebotini recorded for French radio...

X Podcast: Geoffroy presents Fuse

He DJed for us at Playtime at our Paris-on-Thames night, his night Fuse in Belgium has had a run of excellent guests from Ewan Pearson to Secretsundaze, and his remix of Mike Monday's Late Developer on Playtime was one of our favourite remixes on the label.
